DIY leather wrap bracelet

I have a fun tutorial for great handmade Christmas gifts for you today. These are everywhere, I'm admittedly a little late on the wrap bracelet trend, but I do love them! I decided to make them with the high school girls from youth group this Saturday! I hope you enjoy the tutorial!

supplies:

pliers
wire cutters
leather
whatever closures you like (there is a closeup later)
another type of closure that allows you to pinch the leather inside (the one to the right that's hard to see, also hard to explain)
jump rings
pretty chain

Start but cutting two strips of leather and one length of chain that are long enough to wrap twice around your wrist and secure. Don't make it too tight or too loose! Next, use the complicated closures I was telling you about to crimp the ends of both leather pieces together at each end.

See? Okay, now add a jump ring through the loop at the end of the closure, the end of the chain, and one side of the closure (next picture). The jump ring I originally used was too big to allow my closure to close so I ended up switching it out for one that came in the package with the closure.

And you're done! Easy, right? I know the components are complicated but it's really so simple to put together. I think it would be pretty with more chain and maybe different colors...endless options!

I hope the girls love them as much as I do!
