Sewing projects

I was hard at work for a few nights this week. I used one evening for cutting and the next for sewing. I hate the thinking and cutting part of sewing. The actual sewing part I actually enjoy! It's the most rewarding.

I made a table runner for a friend's wedding gift (no pictures, to keep it a surprise--but I will show you the ruffles), and some fabric bins for organizing kid stuff in my car.

How to make a ruffle: Cut a strip of fabric twice the width of your desired ruffle. Sew wrong sides together length-wise with a really large, loose stitch. Keep the threads long on one end, pull one and scrunch!

Enjoy your weekend, we're starting early.
