Disregard the measurements on this paper...they are NOT correct...I have a "learn-as-I-go" quilting method
For my brother's birthday
For my sister-in-law's nephew
and my new spring 'do!
As for the wedding on Saturday, it is the most amazing story. Two years ago, a man from my church was widowed. He has three small children ages 7,5,and 3 (somewhere around there :). His wife died of breast cancer that eventually infected her brain. She was the most amazing woman who trusted God completely and whom I never heard complain. Separately, my husband's sister was diagnosed with lymphoma and miraculously recovered completely--praise the Lord! She never once complained either and also trusted God no matter the outcome. About a year ago, I felt the Lord telling me that the two of them would make a great couple, so I set to work nagging my husband into introducing them! Now they are getting married on Saturday, an amazing example of what God can do with lives that are surrendered to Him and people who have eyes only for Him.
You probably already know, but just in case here is what I would do.
ReplyDeleteIf you want it to be 60"X80" you will want 6 blocks across and 8 blocks down. The four patch blocks you should cut at 5 1/2" square, the large blocks you will want to cut at 10 1/2" square. this will give you a 10" finished block.
Post pictures of the fabric you plan on using. Have Fun!
Yes, that's what I eventually did. When I originally did the drawing to plan it out, I made it half as wide and long as it should have been! I laid it out on the floor and realized I needed more squares!
ReplyDeleteI will post pics of the fabric soon :)
